A Vision and Plan for a
World Class Testament
to Our Veterans

National Veterans Freedom Park PlazaIn order to honor the veterans and their families whose loyal service and sacrifice have safeguarded our freedoms, a group of veterans and citizens in Cary, North Carolina came together several years ago to form the National Veterans Freedom Park Foundation ("NVFP Foundation" or the "Foundation"). The NVFP is a 509(a)(1) Nonprofit corporation, formed under the laws of the State of North Carolina. A copy of the IRS 509 letter is available online. The Foundation is comprised of leading citizens in the Triangle area who bring passion, a sense of duty, and multi-disciplined expertise to their singular goal: development of a world-class veterans freedom park.

The NVFP Foundation Board Chairman Dick Ladd has articulated the shared vision of the Board of Directors:

The Veterans Freedom Park is dedicated to honor those who serve, and have served, in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. It is a gift to future generations that honors the past and provides a contemplative place to meditate on our veterans' dedication to protecting the freedom that all Americans enjoy. The Veterans Freedom Park will celebrate patriotism and freedom. It is an educational park that will honor and tell about the five branches of service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the Coast Guard. It will be inspirational and will lead all of us to reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans. It must teach us what freedom is all about and not to take it for granted. It is a destination for the United States veteran, their families, students, and patriotic citizens from across the region and provides a place to contemplate the sacrifices made to live free.
